Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CodelyTeam. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

1. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be old enough to legally use online services in your country to create an account.
• One account per person. Impersonating another user or platform staff is not allowed.

2. Acceptable use

CodelyTeam is a space to chat, form groups, share screens, solve problems together, and showcase projects. You agree not to:

• Post illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Share malware, phishing links, or content that attacks or exploits other users or their systems.
• Spam the Latest Web, Community, or Problems sections, or attempt to bypass daily submission limits.
• Screen-share content you don't have the right to share, or content prohibited elsewhere in these terms.
• Attempt to manipulate XP, points, or admin/verification badges outside the platform's normal mechanisms.
• Interfere with the platform's operation, including attempting to bypass security controls or rate limits.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — messages, code snippets, problems, solutions, showcase links, and images. By posting, you give CodelyTeam permission to store, display, and distribute that content within the platform so features like chat, groups, and the community feed can work. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you post or share.

4. Groups, branches, and moderation

Group owners can manage their own groups, including banning or muting members and creating branches. Group owners are responsible for how they moderate their own spaces, within these terms. CodelyTeam admins may act on any group or content that violates these terms, including removing content, suspending accounts, or revoking XP/points and badges obtained improperly.

5. XP, points, and virtual features

XP and points are earned through platform activity (like daily login, uploading webs, or growing a group) and spent on features like creating groups or customizing your profile. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and may be adjusted or reset by admins to correct errors or abuse.

6. Screen sharing

Screen sharing is limited to a small number of simultaneous sharers per branch. You're responsible for what you share on screen — don't share anything private, sensitive, or belonging to someone else without permission.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.

8. Disclaimers

CodelyTeam is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it reliable, secure, and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we're not responsible for content posted by other users, including in groups, chats, or the community feed.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as CodelyTeam evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use CodelyTeam after a change means you accept the updated terms.
